JC Auto Repair was established in 1986 by Jerry Contreras, a man with a passion for vehicles and helping others. With the help of his brothers, sons, and others who joined his team, the shop has become one of the oldest in the area with a loyal clientele.
Today, we continue that tradition by serving the diverse automotive needs of our community. Our mission is simple: combine skill, honesty, and care to deliver dependable repairs and maintenance. Whether it’s a quick fix or a major repair, our certified team works with the same dedication Jerry built this shop on.
Where It All Started
Jerry’s love for cars started young, but one of his prized possessions was his 1974 Chevy Camaro. Of course, like all great stories, it began with a bad decision on a fun night out. On the way home, he gave that Camaro a bump it definitely didn’t deserve, so the next morning he brought it to his cousin’s auto shop right here, at this very location.
What surprised him wasn’t just how quickly the Camaro got patched up, but how much he loved the vibe of the shop. The tools, the smell of oil, the satisfaction of fixing something, it clicked. Jerry realized cars weren’t just his hobby; they were his calling.
Sure, he already had a small mechanic setup at home, but Jerry wasn’t the type to tinker forever in the garage. A couple of months later, he went all in, put some money together and , bought his cousin’s shop, and turned his passion into his life, passing down the legacy to his son, who currently now runs the shop, Julian (JC) Contreras.
